Glenrio straddles the Texas-New Mexico state line and represents one of Route 66's most evocative ghost towns. The abandoned buildings, including vintage motels, the State Line Bar, and gas stations, create a haunting landscape frozen in time since Interstate 40 bypassed the town. Glenrio's desolate beauty inspired the fictional town of Radiator Springs in Pixar's Cars.
